loves to feel the gentle touch of her mother. It also increases the
bonding between the two of them. A gentle massage to the baby can be
an exciting experience for a mother. If a new born has arrived in
your family, there are a few simple tips to help you get started.
- It is advisable to gently massage the baby of any age, even a newborn. However, avoid massaging if your baby is ill, has had any cuts, skin abrasions or any recent abrasions. If in doubt, take medical advice.
- Try to give a gentle massage to your little one when he or she is awake, relaxed and happy.
- Remember to place your baby on a soft and flat surface such as a blanket while giving the massage.
- Try to cover those areas of the baby where you will not be massaging.
- Allow your baby to move a little if he or she wills to, do not make the baby feel uncomfortable during the massage time.
